Here are a couple of pictures of my 1981 Suzuki GS1000GL shaft drive motorcycle.  I bought it, brand new, in the spring of '82 in Norman, Oklahoma while stationed at Tinker A.F.B. in Oklahoma City while in the Air Force.  To date, I've put a little over 69,000 miles on it, and it's been a great pleasure to ride!

However, one of the things that plagued this particular model was a weak bearing on the output shaft of the transmission.  I first noticed a few bits of the cage come out during an oil change several years ago, and a couple of times since.  So when I had it in the shop early in 2004 for a tune-up, the tech said he could hear some noises coming from the engine that sounded like the main bearings on the crankshaft might be going bad!

Just below here is the 'After'...
